Cody Jamieson played his first lacrosse season at Onondaga in 2006, as a standout member of the programs' first National Championship team. Jamieson earned himself Second Team All-American status, First Team All-Conference, Region 3 Tournament MVP, and the NJCAA Final Four Offensive MVP. He ranked second in the NJCAA his Freshman season with a total of 57 goals, 64 assists, and 121 single-season points. He was named team captain in the 2007 season, leading the Lazers to their second straight NJCAA title. His Sophomore season accolades included First Team All-American, Region 3 Player of the Year, and Mid-State Athletic Conference Player of the Year. Jamieson tallied 9 goals in the title game as part of his single season total of 65 goals, 51 assists, and 116 points, first in the NJCAA. His career at Onondaga consisted of an astounding 33 wins and 0 losses. He was named the David Rowlands Male Student-Athlete of the Year for 2006-07.

Jamieson's collegiate career continued at Syracuse University in 2009, where he scored the winning goal in the NCAA Championship in overtime over Cornell, earning himself another National title and a spot on the NCAA All-Tournament team. In his senior season, he was named USILA Honorable Mention All-American, All-BIG EAST First Team, BIG EAST Honor Roll, featured as BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week, and Big City Classic Player of the Game vs Princeton.

Jamieson competed for the Haudenosaunee National team in 2014 in the World Championships, taking victories over England, Japan, Australia, and the United States to earn Bronze. 

Jamieson anchored the Six Nations Arrows Express in the Ontario Junior A Lacrosse League in 2007 and 2008 as the Minto Cup Championship MVP and given the Tom Longboat Award as Canadian Aboriginal Athlete of the Year. In '08 he was named NLL Insider's Junior Player of the Year, Major Series Lacrosse's Most Valuable Player, and League Rookie of the Year.

Cody Jamieson was the No. 1 selection in the 2010 NLL Draft, picked to the Rochester Knighthawks, with whom he competed from 2011-2019. With the Knighthawks, Jamieson was a 3x League Champion, First Team All-League selection, 3x Second Team, 3x Offensive MVP, back-to-back Championship MVP, NLL All-Rookie, Rookie of the Month, Rookie of the Year, 2014 League MVP, and recorded 281 goals (3rd in history), 482 assists (2nd in history), and 763 total points (3rd in history). Jamieson has been with the Halifax Thunderbirds since 2019 as the third all-time leading goal scorer, second assist leader, and third in points in franchise history.
