In August of 2013, Onondaga Community College opened its new athletic training room in the lower level of Allyn Hall, room 115. The facility serves the sports medicine needs for the college's 19 NJCAA intercollegiate sports. The athletic training room is staffed by two full-time Certified Athletic Trainers and receives support from work-study students. Work-study students provide operational support to the Athletic Trainers, however, they are not authorized to provide injury assessments or treatments. The athletic training room hours are posted on a weekly basis and are typically structured around in-season team practice and game times. The athletic training room is a co-educational facility and as such, everyone must be properly dressed. All equipment, bags, cleats, and food or drinks are not to be brought into the athletic training room.

Treatments are available to all student-athletes who participate as part of the intercollegiate athletics program but due to limited staff resources and the size of the athletic training room, in-season student-athletes will have priority to services. All treatments must be administered by one of the Athletic Trainers and all modalities must be turned on and off by one of the Athletic Trainers. No one is to self-administer treatment. All sports medicine equipment and supplies must remain in the athletic training room unless expressly authorized in advance by one of the Athletic Trainers. Records of treatment attendance are open to all coaches for review. Student-athletes may not miss a class for purposes of rehabilitation or treatment activities.
