Syracuse, NY - Onondaga Baseball earned Region 3 honors for the 2026 season including Coach of the Year.

Sophomore Carlos Jara was named to the Second Team as well as the All-West Divisional team (Onondaga, Niagara, Erie, Finger Lakes, Genesee, Jamestown, Corning, Tompkins-Cortland) of Region 3. Jara batted a season average of .324 with a total 45 hits of 139 at bats tallying 6 doubles, 1 homerun, and 34 RBIs. He recorded a an on base percentage of .411, a .388 slugging percentage, and 14 stolen bases. The shortstop earned a .945 fielding percentage with 4 double plays.

Pitcher Jesse DeMaintenon earned a spot on the Third Team pitching a total 47.2 innings on the season. He recorded 76 strikeouts and an ERA of 7.36 with 4 wins, 3 losses, and 1 save.

Ryan Campbell, All-Glove team honoree, recorded a .990 fielding percentage, 186 putouts, and 16 assists. The Sophomore was primarily seen at first base, but made appearances at every single position during the season. He appeared at all nine positions on May 3rd in the doubleheader against SUNY Broome alone. He pitched a total 22.1 innings with 26 strikeouts with a 2.82 ERA.

Head Coach, Bob Piraino, was named Region 3 Coach of the Year with a regional record of 16-12 with wins over every Region 3 West team including the No. 1 SUNY Niagara Timberwolves on 4/30 on the road, for the first time since 2022.
