Box Score 4 The Onondaga Lazers offense got warmer with the weather this past weekend, racking up 40 runs on 48 hits en route to a 4-game series sweep over Jamestown Community College in Jamestown, NY.
Game 1- Onondaga 7, Jamestown 3 (Final/8 innings)
Five Lazers registered 2-hit games in the opener from Russel Diethrick Park in Jamestown, as Onondaga broke a 3-3 tie in the top of the 8
th inning. Josh Loeffler set the table with a single up the middle, coming around to score on
James Salamone's 2-out RBI single. After the Jayhawks tied the game at 1, freshman Maxx Kies blasted a home run to left center field to put OCC ahead 2-1. Sophomore pitcher
Kyle Canavally blanked the Jayhawks for the next four innings before the game became tied at 3-3 in the 6
th.Loeffler recorded his second hit of the day to begin the 8
th and would score the go-ahead run on Wilson Jimenez's second single of the afternoon. Billy Clifford continued the hitting with a RBI double, before being plated by Salamone's second hit. Sophomore
Dylan McGee worked 2 innings, retiring 6 of the 7 batters he faced to pick up his 2
nd win of the season. Clifford, Jimenez, Salamone, Loeffler and Kies all finished 2-for-4 to pace the offense.
Game 2- Onondaga 11, Jamestown 1 (Final/5 innings)
OCC picked up where they left off with scoring, plating 6 runs across the first 2 innings, cruising to an 11-1 victory in 5 innings. Loeffler smacked a leadoff single for the second straight game, followed by a
Joey Lowen double to center field. Clifford brought in Lowen and Loeffler home on a sharp single up the middle. Clifford would score on an RBI single by rookie Zach Pieklik.The Lazers would bring in 3 more in the second inning on an RBI double by Clifford and
James Salamone's 2-RBI single for a 6-1 advantage.Connor VanDreason only allowed 2 base runners after the first inning, recording 9 ground ball outs throughout the contest.Onondaga plated 5 more runs in the top of the fifth to force the mercy rule, highlighted by Jimenez's 2-RBI single, scoring Loeffler and
Anthony Carrodeguas.
Game 3- Onondaga 10, Jamestown 3
The Lazers broke through with scoring in the top of the third with 3 runs to take the lead on the Jayhawks. Onondaga used three walks and a single by Mitchell Hoalcraft to take the lead. Â
With the game tied 3-3, the Lazers would find consistent and timely hitting, scoring 2 runs in three of the next four innings.Â
Joey Lowen registered 2 RBI's on a single to the left side in the fifth to keep the Lazers' offense hot. Clifford and Hoalcraft added RBI singles in the 7
th inning to cap OCC's scoring at 10. Freshman Adam Lupo notched his third win of the season, allowing 0 earned runs on 2 hits with 5 strikeouts. Lowen finished 3-for-4, and Pieklik finished 2-for-5 with 2 RBI's on the day to supplement the offense.
Game 4- Onondaga 12, Jamestown 6 (Final/8 innings)
Onondaga found itself in another battle in the series finale, coming from behind to escape Jamestown with a 4-game sweep.Sophomore backstop
David Heath launched a solo home run in the top of the second to begin the scoring for the Lazers giving them a 1-0 advantage after two. The Lazers found themselves behind 3-1 heading into the top of the 6
th inning before the offense began to click. Josh Loeffler and Wilson Jimenez opened with singles and after a double steal came around to score on Lowen's 2-run single.   After the Jayhawks would rally to tie the game at 5 apiece, Onondaga broke out in second extra-inning affair of the series. The first 3 Lazers would reach base in the inning, with Hoalcraft scoring the go-ahead run on a single up the middle.Â
Anthony Carrodeguas would put the game out of reach with more runs on a single to the left side. Clifford's RBI single tacked on more insurance runs before turning the ball over to McGee, who closed the game out.

Onondaga is on the road Tuesday, April 24 at Genesee Community College for a doubleheader beginning at 2PM, with the second game starting at 430 PM.Â
