Onondaga Baseball lost a 3-game series to Hudson Valley Community College in a Sub-Regional match up. The loss ended the Lazers season with an overall record of 34-13.

Game One: Onondaga 2, Hudson Valley 6

Hudson Valley took the 2-0 lead after the first inning before the Lazers crossed two runs in the third inning. However, the Vikings kept OCC scoreless the rest of the game as they added two runs in the sixth and one in the eighth.

Six Lazers contributed hits in the loss with a double coming from
Terry Daniels.

Matthew Valin pitched through 5 2/3 innings, giving up 4 runs on 6 hits and accumulating 11 strikeouts.

Game Two: Onondaga 7, Hudson Valley 5
Â
Onondaga rebounded in game two, forcing a tie-breaking game three. The Lazers fell behind, 4-2, after the second inning but a three-run fourth inning tied the game and a two-run eighth earned the win.

Terry Daniels went 3-for-4 and
Chad Raychel hit 3-for-5, while
Josh Cosgrove and
James Salamone each had two RBIs.

Sean Connors pitched through 3 innings, giving up 5 walks, 4 runs and 1 hit.
Kyle Canavally took the win with 2 1/3 innings worth of work by giving up just one hit and striking out one, and
Kyle Naugle earned his 12 save of the season with 2 strikeouts.

Game Three: Onondaga 5, Hudson Valley 8

In a "win or go home" game, Hudson Valley held a 5-2 advantage after five innings. The Vikings added three key insurance runs through the seven and eighth, because the Lazers notched a three-run ninth inning just short of the six run deficit at the start of the final inning.

Josh Cosgrove went 3-for-4 with a double and RBI, and
Justin Germain earned 2 RBIs on 2 hits.
