Onondaga Baseball won three of four games against Finger Lakes Community College this past weekend. The Lazers first traveled to Canadaigua on Saturday for a doubleheader before returning home on Sunday for a second doubleheader.

Saturday Game One: Onondaga 1, Finger Lakes 2 (7 innings)

Sean Connors took his first loss of the season in this pitcher's duel. The game remained scoreless until the fifth inning when the Lakers hit in two runs on a single through the left side of the infield. Onondaga was able to score one in the fifth, but they went down 1-2-3 in the final inning to end the game.

OCC was held to just four hits coming from
Brandon Breen,
Josh Cosgrove,
Anthony Carrodeguas, and
Justin Germain.
James Salamone was able to hit in the lone run with a deep sacrifice fly to center field.

Saturday Game Two: Onondaga 5, Finger Lakes 4 (7 innings)
Â
Onondaga fell behind early and were down by two runs heading into the fourth inning.
Terry Daniels earned a walk on a full count to start the inning and stole second before
Justin Germain moved him to third and
Ethan Wiedmer brought him home.
Â
OCC tied the game in the top of the sixth, but Finger Lakes scored two in the bottom half to take back their lead. The Lazers came from behind in the seventh, scoring three runs on five hits to win game two.

James Salamone gave up 4 runs on 9 hits thorugh five innings.
Dylan McGee took the win with one hit and one strikeout in the sixth, and
Kyle Naugle earned his tenth save of the season with one strikeout.

Brandon Breen and
Josh Cosgrove both had two hits and one RBI, and
Chad Raychel and
Mikey Espinal batted .500.

Sunday Game Three: Onondaga 4, Finger Lakes 3 (9 innings)

Finger Lakes scored first again, getting a 2-0 lead after two innings, until
Anthony Carrodeguas smashed a game tying homerun over the fence in left-center field. The game remained scoreless heading into extra innings. Onondaga left the bases loaded in the eighth inning and Finger Lakes used the momentum to take a one-run lead in the top of the ninth. The Lazers loaded the bases again in the bottom half when
Josh Cosgrove found a hole on the left side of the infield for a 2 RBI-single for the win.

Amir Nitowski struck out five through seven innings and gave up 2 runs on 4 hits.
Kyle Naugle finished the game and took the win by giving up one run on one hit.

Anthony Carrodeguas went 3-for-4 from the plate with 2 RBIs and he scored two runs.

David Heath all added hits in the win.

Sunday Game Four: Onondaga 6, Finger Lakes 1 (7 innings)

Onondaga kept the energy through the final game of the series. The Lazers posted a single run in the first, second, fourth and fifth, while
Terry Daniels sealed the victory with a 2 RBI triple in the sixth.

Kyle Canavally pitched a completed game, giving up just one run on 7 hits and delivering 6 strikeouts.

Seven Lazers had hits in the game.

Onondaga looks ahead this week as they face the top-seeded team in the region, Niagara Community College. Niagara is currently ranked sixth in the country, Onondaga is ranked tenth, and the Thunderwolves are undefeated in regional play. The Lazers travel to Sanborn on Tuesday for a doubleheader starting at 2pm, and then Niagara visits the Onondaga Baseball Complex on Thursday at 4pm.
