Box Score 2 Lazers Baseball defeated Genesee Community College, 8-3, in both games of the doubleheader on Thursday afternoon at the Baseball Complex.

Game One: Onondaga 8, Genesee 3 (7 innings)

Onondaga crossed two runs in the first inning, and a four-run second inning sealed the win over the Cougars. Genesee cut the lead in the fourth with a two-run homerun, but OCC added two insurance runs in the final innings to win game one.

Chad Raychel and
Terry Daniels each had two hits, and Raychel's double in the second earned him two RBIs.
Josh Cosgrove knocked in two runs off a single in the second and a sacrifice fly to left field in the fourth.

Matthew Valin pitched six innings with 9 strikeouts and gave up 2 runs on 3 hits.
Shane Krawec finished the seventh, giving up one run and one hit.

Game Two: Onondaga 8, Genesee 3 (7 innings)
Â
Genesee struck first in the top of the first inning with a leadoff double and adding three more hits to score two runs. Onondaga responded in the bottom half of the first with three runs of their own. The Lazers extended their lead with a three-run fourth inning, and added two more runs in the sixth.

Chad Raychel and
Terry Daniels contributed two more hits in the night game, and Raychel added two more RBIs for a game day total of four.

Tommie Spinner worked through 6 innings, giving up 7 hits, 3 runs, 3 walks, and he struck out four, while
Sean Connors game up one hit and struck out one in the final inning.

Onondaga heads to Canandaigua on Saturday to face Finger Lakes Community College at 1pm before returning home on Sunday to host the Lakers in a twin bill starting at 1pm.
