Lazers Baseball was defeated by Genesee Community College, 9-3 and 4-3, on Tuesday afternoon in Batavia, NY.

Game One: Onondaga 3, Genesee 9 (7 innings)

Onondaga fell behind early when the Cougars scored three runs in the second inning and added another five runs in the third inning. The Lazers scored two runs in the last two innings but the deficit was too much to overcome.

Dylan McGee took the loss, giving up 8 runs on 7 hits through 3 innings.
Colin Smith finished the final innings, giving up one run and 3 walks.

Chad Raychel,
Josh Cosgrove, and
Anthony Sinicropi all batted .500, and
Mikey Espinal add another hit for the Lazers.

Game Two: Onondaga 3, Genesee 4 (7 innings)

The night cap remained scoreless until the Lazers struck in the top of the fifth inning, crossing one across the plate. Onondaga added two more in the top of the sixth to take the, 3-0, lead but Genesee tied it up in the bottom half. The Cougars stole the game with a suicide squeeze in the bottom of the seventh to complete the sweep.

Amir Nitowski gave up 1 run on 5 hits through five innings.
Kyle Canavally pitched two-thirds with 2 strikeouts and he gave up 2 runs on 1 hit.
Kyle Naugle finished the last two-thirds, giving up 2 walks, 2 hits, and 1 run.
