Lazers Baseball won four straight this weekend in a 4-game series with Jamestown Community College at the Baseball Complex. Onondaga will visit Erie Community College on Tuesday, April 11
th at 2pm in Buffalo, NY before returning home on Thursday to face Erie at home.

Saturday Game One: Onondaga 6, Jamestown 4 (7 innings)
Â
Onondaga scored three runs in the top of the first inning after two walks and a triple to the fence in right-center field by
James Salamone. Matt Valin dominance continued, striking out the first two batters that he faced.

Jamestown cut the Lazers' lead to two in the fourth inning after Valin walked two and gave up an RBI single to right field. Onondaga stopped any Jayhawk momentum in the fifth when
Josh Cosgrove and
Justin Germain hit back-to-back RBI singles, scoring
Terry Daniels and
Michael Kasch who both earned walks.

Jamestown attempted a comeback by scoring three runs in the final two innings, but
Brandon Breen added another insurance run in the sixth. Breen's single to center scored
Anthony Carrodeguas after he smashed a triple to right, and the Lazers defense were able to hold the Jayhawks in the top of the seventh.

Matthew Valin earned the win with 11 strikeouts, giving up 2 earned runs on 3 hits through 5 innings.
Kyle Canavally struck out three and gave up one hit in one inning, and
Kyle Naugle closed the game with two strikeouts..

Josh Cosgrove, with triples coming from Carrodeguas and
James Salamone (1-for-2). Lazers hits also came from
Brandon Breen,

Saturday Game Two: Onondaga 13, Jamestown 7 (7 innings)
Â
Jamestown scored all of their seven runs in the first two innings, giving the Lazers a, 7-2, deficit entering the fourth inning when the bats ignited.
Joey Lowen,
Anthony Sinicropi, and
David Heath kicked it off with three straight singles on full counts. The Lazers scored four with two walks and two hit batters, when
Josh Cosgrove connected with a 2-RBI line drive. The nine run inning took back the lead, and
Brandon Breen added two more runs in the sixth with a double to left field to seal the Saturday Sweep.

Tommie Spinner pitched a complete game, giving up 7 runs on 8 hits and striking out eleven.

Joey Lowen went 2-for-4 and had 3 RBIs.

Josh Cosgrove each had doubles, and other hits for Onondaga came off the bats of
Justin Germain,
Anthony Sinicropi,
David Heath, and
Anthony Carrodeguas.

Sunday Game Three: Onondaga 8, Jamestown 4 (7 innings)
Â
Jamestown got on the board first, scoring one run in the top of the third inning, after a lead-off double, but
Josh Cosgrove took the lead back in the bottom half of the inning.
Anthony Carrodeguas and
Brandon Breen hit back-to-back singles, and the bases were loaded for Cosgrove after
Mikey Espinal took four straight balls. Cosgrove connected with a bases-clearing triple to right-center field, and scored off
James Salamone groundball single through the infield.

The Jayhawks strung together three singles to tie the game in the sixth inning, but Onondaga refused to fall.
Adrian Adams delivered a lead-off double, moving to third on a sacrifice bunt by
Anthony Carrodeguas, and scored the winning run when
Mikey Espinal ripped a line drive up the middle. The Lazers were able to add three more runs in the sixth with three walks and a 2-RBI line drive by
Jyles Carley.

Dylan McGee pitched five innings and gave up 3 runs on 2 hits.
Kyle Canavally gave up 1 hit and 2 runs in the sixth inning, and
Kyle Naugle gave up two hits in the seventh but earned his eighth save of the season.

James Salamone was perfect from the plate with 3 hits and a double.
Terry Daniels,
Anthony Sinicropi, and
Anthony Carrodeguas each batted .500, while
Jyles Carley and
Adrian Adams both delivered pinch-hit singles.

Sunday Game Four: Onondaga 10, Jamestown 2 (7 innings)

With the sweep in sight, the Lazers posted 10 runs on 9 hits in the final game of the four-game series. Onondaga batted threw the order in a 5 hit and 6 run second inning, and added four more runs in the sixth to seal the final win of the weekend.

Amir Nitowski pitched a completed game, giving up just 2 runs on 4 hits and delivering 7 strikeouts.

Josh Cosgrove, and
Terry Daniels each had a multiple-hit game, with Breen tallying 3 RBIs on two doubles. Other hits for the Lazers came from
James Salamone,
Justin Germain, and
Joey Lowen.
