Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Game 1 - Onondaga Lazers gets 10 strikeouts from Jacob Shortslef in 2-0 win over JCC

An ace performance by Jacob Shortslef hoisted Onondaga Lazers to a 2-0 win in seven innings over JCC on Saturday.  Jacob looked sharp on the hill.  JCC managed just one hit off of Shortslef, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out 10 during his seven innings of work.

Tyler Kirwan had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He tripled in the third inning and doubled in the fifth inning.

Marcelo Parker took the loss for JCC. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out five, and allowed two runs.

Onondaga Lazers stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the third, scoring one run on an RBI triple by Tyler Kirwan.

Game 2 - Pat Merryweather makes 2 runs hold up for Onondaga Lazers in 2-1 win over JCC

Onondaga Lazers didn't give Pat Merryweather much support, but he got it done without it. Merryweather pitched 6 1/3 strong innings to carry Onondaga Lazers to a 2-1 win over JCC in seven innings on Saturday.

Onondaga Lazers held off JCC, as JCC was unable to overcome a two-run third inning deficit.  JCC scored one run in the fifth on.  Still, JCC couldn't draw even.

Jose Corrales was the game's losing pitcher.  He lasted just six innings, walked four, struck out seven, and allowed two runs.

Onondaga Lazers never surrendered the lead after the second inning, scoring one run on.  In the fifth inning, JCC pushed across its only run of the day on a wild pitch.

Onondaga moves to 8-0 in region play, 18-6 overall.
