Box Score Syracuse, NY - The Lazers went toe to toe with the #6 ranked team in the country, but the visiting SUNY Delhi Broncos closed the game on a 10-4 run over the last 2:12 to come away with the win. Delhi opened the game on an 11-2 run, but Onondaga rallied to take a 43-37 lead to the locker room at halftime. The second half was a back and forth affair, which saw several lead changes before the Broncos' closing run. Both teams spent considerable time at the foul line, as there were 63 fouls and 82 free throws in the contest.
Vaughndell Brantley (Cicero-North Syracuse) scored a game high 36 points to lead Onondaga.
Tyler Bliss (Liverpool) added 18 points and 9 rebounds for the Lazers. Marvilio Berrroa paced the Broncos with 21 points, with 15 coming after halftime. Ibrahima Toure and DJ Nickelson added 17 and 15 respectively for Delhi.
Onondaga hosts Columbia-Greene Community College on Sunday afternoon at 1 pm in Allyn Hall. SUNY Delhi will play at Cayuga Community College on Sunday at 3 pm.
