Syracuse, NY - The Men's Basketball All-Conference team has been announced for the 2025-26 season.
Head Coach, Mike Sugamosto, was named MSAC Coach of the Year. This is the OCC Men's program first conference coach of the year honor since the 2021-22 season. Sugamosto led the team to a 13-1 conference record in his first season at the healm. The team averaged 91.07 points over MSAC opponents with a season high of 107 over Finger Lakes Community College on February 15th. The Lazer defense allowed an average of 76.71 points per game. Three members of Onondaga occupied a spot on the All-Conference team and three to Honorable Mention.
Siyani Arthur (Brooklyn, NY / Brooklyn Law & Technology) appeared in 10 of 14 conference matchups, averaging 17.9 points and 3.6 assists per game. The Sophomore Guard's conference high occurred against SUNY Broome with a 25-point performance, earning himself a spot on First Team.
Nyqwan Morris (Brooklyn, NY / Thomas Jefferson HS) earned Second Team honors appearing in 14 of 14 conference matchups, averaging 15.9 points per game. The Freshman shot 36.1% from the arc with a conference highlight at Jefferson Community College on December 10th where he went 6-10 from three.
Brian Whitley (Geneva, NY / Geneva HS) also earned Second Team honors appearing in 14 of 14 MSAC matchups. The Sophomore averaged 15.4 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 4.28 blocks per game. Whitley put up 18 points against Tompkins-Cortland Community College on November 12th.
Garang Garang (Syracuse, NY / Bishop Grimes HS),
Malachi Wilson (Brooklyn, NY / Thomas Jefferson HS), and
Lucio Cole (Weedsport, NY / Weedsport HS) were all honorably mentioned for the 2025-26 season.
