Geneseo, NY - Onondaga Track & Field began their outdoor season at the SUNY Geneseo Early Season Invitational on April 3rd and 4th.
The trend of breaking school records continued into the outdoor season for both the men's and women's rosters with outstanding performances coming from all across the board.
"The teams really set the tone this weekend for their push at winning outdoor regionals. Everyone on the roster saw improvement in one of their respective events and the team chemistry and energy was the highest I have seen this season. The staff is very proud of how far this team has come after facing a lot of adversity this year and we are just getting started. The meet began on Friday with Coach Zoe Connor's throwing squad hitting all time marks and national standards. This momentum carried into Saturday with multiple records falling on the track and in the field." Head Coach, Taylor Bouchard
Four school records were broken and 23 different Lazers made top ten marks. Diallo Corprew (Elmira, NY / Elmira HS) set the school record in the Men's 200m race with a time of 22.54 seconds. Paul Clark (Baldwinsville, NY / Baker HS) secured the school record in the Men's 5000m race with a time of 15.40.48.
