Brockport, NY - Onondaga Track and Field competed at the SUNY Brockport Multi this weekend.
The team set two new school records and sixteen all time marks on Sunday. The program delivered a statement performance, stacking all-time marks, national qualifiers, and a historic relay debut. The women's 4x400m relay of Liz Alvarez (Syracuse, NY / Fowler HS), Zariona Hudson, Hannah Wagner (Chittenango, NY / Chittenango HS), and Latoya Hodges (Syracuse, NY / Corcoran HS) etched their names into the record books with a school record in the program's first-ever entry in the event. Wagner led a standout day on the women's side, adding a national qualifying mark and second all-time performance in the 400m (1:02.61) while also taking over third all-time in the javelin (22.07m). On the men's side, Tah'Jay Molina (Elmira, NY / Elmira HS) sprinted to a national qualifying mark in the 100m (11.25), the fifth-fastest time in school history, and doubled back with a No. 6 all-time mark in the 200m (23.04). The 4x100m relay quartet of Ny'Quez Madison (Syracuse, NY / Liverpool HS), Logan Zapf (Baldwinsville, NY / Baker HS), Chris Zellar (Baldwinsville, NY / Baker HS), and Cutter Jaquin (Canastota, NY / Canastota HS) added another top-10 performance, clocking 44.27 for No. 8 all-time.
Depth and balance proved to be the difference-maker, with personal bests and program marks falling across distance, sprints, and the field. Chris Zellar (52.42) and Diallo Corprew (Elmira, NY / Elmira HS) (52.58) moved into fourth and sixth all-time, respectively, in the 400m, while Teddy Popp (Syracuse, NY / Westhill HS) climbed to No. 4 all-time in the 1500m (4:32.62) and Jackson Allen (Clay, NY / Liverpool HS) secured a top-five mark in the 5000m (17:30.64). In the field, Parrish Morrison (Baldwinsville, NY / Baker HS) dominated with a school record in the discus (34.97m) and a national qualifying mark in the shot put (11.82m), highlighting a strong throws group.
