Canton, NY - Onondaga Indoor Track & Field competed at the St. Lawrence Open this past weekend breaking 23 school records.
"It was a memorable indoor season for this team. There were lots of new personal bests and school records that really capped off an extraordinary season for the Lazers. The team re-wrote the record books with 23 new school records and 74 top ten all-time marks. It was a season defined by relentless improvement, breakthrough performances, and a culture built on daily progress. The momentum built over these months now carries into outdoors, where this team is hungry, confident, and ready to build on an unforgettable indoor campaign. We will be adding some new faces to the team that will immediately become key pieces for a push towards a Regional Championship." Taylor Bouchard
The Lazers delivered a statement performance highlighted by meet champions and record-breaking efforts across the board. Paul Clark led the way on the track with a 15:57 school record to win the men's 5K, while Jackson Allen moved to 3rd all-time in the event. Charlie English soared to a school record and meet victory in the pole vault (4.15m), and Ny'Quez Madison captured the triple jump title while adding a 3rd all-time mark in the long jump and a strong performance in the high jump (1.90m). The sprints crew dominated the top 10 list with Diallo Corprew (2nd all-time 200m), Paul Swenson (3rd all-time 200m, 7th all-time 60m), and Tah'Jay Molina (3rd all-time 60m, 4th all-time 200m), while Raul Rosario (3rd all-time 800m), Liz Alvarez (5th all-time 800m), Garrett Bleskoski (7th all-time 3K), and the men's 4x400m relay (5th all-time) added to the historic day.
