Box Score Tompkins Cortland Community College's women's basketball team's five game win streak came to an end on Wednesday night as the home team Onondaga Community College Lazers defeated them 80-45. With the win Onondaga improves to 21-5 for the season and 9-1 in MSAC conference play while TC3 falls to 13-8 (5-4).

The Lazers once again saw five players score in double figures with Samantha Britton (Kenmore West – Buffalo),
Sydni Eure (East Syracuse – Minoa) and
Michaela Whiteman (G. Ray Bodley – Fulton) leading the way with 14 points each.Â
Payton Noeller (Cato – Meridian) and
Shannon Foehl (Skaneateles) both finished with 11 points. Eure hauled down 11 rebounds while Foehl led the Lazers in assists with 8. Whiteman knocked down four 3-pointers while Noeller hit on 3 shots from downtown.Â

The team once again shared the ball with a total of 27 assists, and the switching defenses employed throughout the game by Onondaga limited TC3 to a total of 20 points below their season average of 65.

The Onondaga win sets up a battle of first place teams when the Lazers travel to Finger Lakes Community College for a 1pm tip-off on Saturday, February 17. The winner of that contest will have an inside track at hosting the conference tournament the following weekend.
