Onondaga Men's Basketball was upended by Herkimer Community College, 65-55, on Sunday evening in Allyn Hall.

After an even four minutes of play to start the game, Herkimer outscored Onondaga, 17-5, to gain their largest lead of the game at fourteen with ten minutes left in the first.
Nate Cutler responded with a deep three and his team followed suit, scoring ten unanswered to close the gap to just four points. OCC finished the first twenty minutes of play scoring seven straight to enter the half down by five points.

The second half started just like the first, both teams scoring bucket-for-bucket. Onondaga went on a, 7-0, run with ten minutes left in the game, and got within one point off a
Nate Cutler trey, but the Lazers were unable to maintain the momentum. Herkimer outscored the Lazers, 13-5, in the last five minutes of the game to win the NJCAA Region III Title and move on to the NJCAA National Tournament next week in Rochester, Minnesota.

James Walker and
Nate Cutler accounted for 34 of the Lazers 55 points and were named to the All-Tournament Team. Â
James Walker dominated the court, scoring 22, reeling in 10 boards, shooting perfect from downtown, and the freshman forward went 8-for-9 from the charity stripe.
Nate Cutler drained four perfectly timed threes for 12 points and captured 4 rebounds.

The Lazers end their season with an overall record of, 28-5, under the leadership of first-year Head Coach,
Erik Saroney.
