Box Score Onondaga Men's Basketball defeated SUNY Broome Community College, 93-76, on Friday night in the semi-final round of the Mid-State Athletic Conference Tournament.

The Hornets got out to an early lead off three straight buckets from beyond the arc, gaining their largest lead of the night, 11-6, after three minutes of play. The Lazers turned up the offense with four unanswered and
Will Cutler draining a twenty-two footer to take the, 15-13, lead.

Will Cutler was back at it again just fifty seconds later, draining another three-pointer, igniting his team towards a, 12-2, run. SUNY Broome clawed back to within three with ten minutes left to play in the first half, but
Tyler Sullivan sunk one from downtown, followed by a steal and fast-break layup by
Brian Daily. OCC entered the half with a, 57-41, edge over the Hornets.

The Lazers kept up the pressure, scoring eight unanswered to open the second half, building their largest lead of the game, 65-45. OCC maintained their control to close out the game and earn the victory on their home court.
It was a career night for
Will Cutler and
James Jones.
Will Cutler recorded his first collegiate career double-double with 20 points and 10 rebounds, shooting .666 from the floor.
James Jones scored a career-high 12 points, draining 6-for-7 from the charity stripe.

Also chipping in for the victory was
Tae Elijah with a game-high 21 points.
Tyler Sullivan added 14 points and
James Walker scored 10 and captured 8 rebounds.
The Lazers will take on Finger Lakes Community College on Saturday afternoon at 4:00pm in the Mid-State Athletic Conference Championship matchup. The Lakers defeated Corning Community College in game one of the MSAC semi-finals, 53-52. The Lazers narrowly escaped the Lakers back in January when OCC won off an overtime buzzer-beater. More recently, Finger Lakes visited Onondaga just six days ago where the Lazers outscored them, 78-67, on Sophomore Day.
