Box Score The Onondaga Community College Women's Basketball Team (2-1) suffered their first loss of the young season on Sunday to #5 D-III nationally ranked Hostos Community College (2-1) - 92-85.

The high scoring contest was marked by a number of lead changes in the first period with the home court Lazers up 23-21 at the end of the quarter. Led by Samantha Britton's 18 first half points and a strong rebounding effort from the entire team, Onondaga lead by one – 43-42 – at the end of the first two periods. Hostos came back to lead by 4 points at the end of three periods only to have the lead exchange hands several times in the final stanza before the visiting Caimans pulled away for the final margin of victory.

Britton (Kenmore West) once again led the Lazers in scoring with 26 points while
Shannon Foehl (Skaneateles) finished with 22 points (including 3 makes from beyond the arc), and
Rachel Scalisi (Fabius-Pompey) had 21 points (15-16 from the foul line) and 13 rebounds for her first double-double of the season. Freshmen
Payton Noeller (Cato – Meridian) dished out 8 assists in the game.

Onondaga returns to the hardwoods for an away game at Schenectady Community at 5pm on Thursday, November 9, and then travels to Fulton-Montgomery Community College for a contest on Saturday, November 11.
