Box Score #3 Onondaga Men's Basketball defeated Finger Lakes, 89-87, on Wednesday night in Canandaigua, NY.
Both teams were neck and neck at the start of the game, playing to a, 15-15, tie after nine minutes of play. The Lazers then scored eight unanswered, increasing their lead as much as fourteen, before closing out the half with the, 39-29, advantage.

The Lakers attempted to take back their home court after the break, cutting the lead to just one bucket after going on a, 13-4, run.
James Jones (4 pts, 3 assists) denied the home team the lead by drawing a foul, dropping the layup, and adding one from the line for a three-point play. His teammates responded by adding a quick 9 points to cushion the lead.

Once again Finger Lakes fought back within one point, with 13 seconds left on the clock
Tyler Sullivan drained two free throws to take a three point lead but Lakers Jonathan Range hit a three pointer with two seconds left in the game to tie it up, 75-75, and send the game into overtime.

For the third time of the night the Lakers closed the gap to just one point but the Lazers refused to give up the lead.
James Jones hit a free throw to increase the edge to two, but once again Lakers Jonathan Range hit a jumper to tie the game with five seconds on the clock. It was Liverpool native
Will Cutler who brought home the victory for the Lazers with a layup at the sound of the horn.
Tae Elijah led the Lazers with 24 points.
Tyler Sullivan drained 22 points and passed out 4 assists.
Shemere Elliott dropped 12 and
James Walker went 10 and 10 for points and boards for his third double-double of the year.
