After playing an even, 39-39, first half the Hornets scored nine unanswered buckets seven minutes into the second to take the advantage. With 12:18 on the clock and the Hornets with their largest lead of the game (67-55),
Tyler Sullivan and
Brian Daily put the Lazers on their backs and brought them back within 4. In a two minute span, the duo combined for 15 points, 2 steals, 2 assists, and a monster block from Daily.
James Jones cut the lead down to just two points with less than a minute to play after back-to-back layups, but the Hornets hit their free throws to close out the game to upset the visiting Lazers, 88-85.
Tyler Sullivan led the attack with 30 points and 6 rebounds.
Tae Elijah added 18 points and 5 steals, while
Brian Daily had 8 points, going perfect from the free throw line, and reeled in 6 boards.
