Box Score
Onondaga Volleyball falls 3-1 to Jefferson Community College on Wednesday evening at Allyn Hall.
The lack of communication troubled the Lazers through the first two sets going down 25-15 and 25-11 respectively. Coach
Kelsey Klopfer lit a fire under her team and they responded with a 26-24 come-from-behind victory in set three… With the Lazers down 10-7, a spike by
Sheba Jackson turned the momentum, which was sustained by two back-to-back aces from
Taylor Hitchcock. The Lazers progressed to an 18-13 lead off spikes from
Olivia Michael,
Rebecca Lawrence, and
Sheba Jackson and a perfectly placed ball to the back corner by
Kayla Bryant to win the set.
The Lazers were unable to hold off the Cannoneers in set four, falling 25-18 and dropping the match 3-1.
Onondaga looks to bounce back on Saturday during a POD play event hosted by Jefferson Community College in Watertown. The Lazers will take on Monroe CC at 11:30am, Finger Lakes CC at 1pm, and Genesee CC at 4pm.
