Syracuse, NY - No. 6 Onondaga Volleyball hosted No. 11 SUNY Niagara in a subregional match in Allyn Hall on Tuesday evening. The Lazers defeated the Thunderwolves three sets to one to advance to the semifinal of the District B bracket.

Onondaga put away the first two sets with ease, 25-16. The Thunderwolves managed to find a lead over the Lazers in the third set, with their season on the line. The Lazers trailed 18-24 and cut it to 22-24, but fell just short to the Thunderwolves pulling off a 25-22 win. Forcing a fourth set, Onondaga bounced back taking another and final 25-16 victory, securing the match win.

Game leaders include Sophomore Ella Beckering with 16 kills, Setter Chylure Bucktooth with 36 assists, and Samantha Sovocool and Beckering each recording 17 digs.

Onondaga, as the No. 6, will take on the No. 3 Fulton-Montogmery Raiders in the District B semifinal this Saturday, Nov. 1st at 1pm at the Region 3 Tournament hosted by Finger Lakes Community College.
