Box Score Onondaga lost a heartbreaker to top-seeded Jefferson Community College in the semi-finals of the MSAC tournament on Saturday afternoon.

Despite falling behind the Cannoneers in the first two sets (15-25, 20-25), the Lazers battled back to tie the match 2-2, winning both the third and forth sets by scores of 25-21 and 25-21. Onondaga's determination to upset the top-seeded team continued through the fifth and final set but Jefferson came out on top 13-15.

SUNY Broome defeated Jefferson, 3-2, in the finals to take home the Mid-State Athletic Conference title. 

Next up for Onondaga will be preparing for the NJCAA Region III playoffs that begin next week.
