Box Score Syracuse, NY - The Onondaga Community College women's basketball team opened the game on 15-0 run against visiting Tompkins Cortland Community College on its way to a 96-53 win - its 70th consecutive conference victory - at the Allyn Gymnasium of the OCC campus on Wednesday evening.
On a night that saw the team's eight sophomores recognized in a pre-game ceremony, all fifteen players entered the scoring column while four of the sophomores scored in double figures. Â Onondaga was also a remarkable 11 for 17 from the 3-point arc.
Allie Taylor (Hannibal) led the home team in scoring with 17 points, followed by
Lauren Roy (Bishop Ludden) and
Arin Crowell (South Jefferson) with 11 each, and
Amanda Marcely (Bishop Grimes) with 10. Â Roy and Crowell each made three 3-point shots while Marcely pulled down a game high 9 rebounds.
#2-nationally ranked Onondaga goes on the road to play Finger Lakes Community College on Saturday, February 15th in Canadaigua in their final regular season conference game. Â The team will be returning home to host the Mid State Athletic Conference Tournament on Friday, February 21st.
