Box Score Syracuse, NY - Herkimer Country Community College, ranked #8 in the nation in the most recent NJCAA Division III National Poll, pulled away in the final 7 minutes of the non-conference game at Onondaga.  The Lazers had opened the game on a 13-5 run.  Herkimer responded with a 9-0 run of their own, and the teams went back and forth the remainder of the first half.  The Generals opened the second half on a 9-2 run, but Onondaga answered and cut the deficit to 2 with 12:33 to go.  Onondaga was still within 8 with 7:24 to go when Herkimer finally took control.

Wendall Williams (Syracuse Bishop Ludden) paced Herkimer with a game high 26 points while Jon Feiler and Enson Garcia added 25 and 21 respectivley for the Generals.  Ben Honahan (Malone Franklin Academy) tallied 19 points to lead the Lazers.  Vaughndell Brantley (Cicero-North Syracuse) and Tyler Bliss (Liverpool) added 14 and 12 for Onondaga.

Onondaga is off until after the Christmas holiday.  The Lazers return to action on January 1st at the Daytona State College New Year's Classic in Daytona Beach, FL.  Onondaga will face the hosts, NJCAA Division I Daytona State at 8:00 pm on New Year's Day, and then take on Indian River State College, also an NJCAA Division I school, on January 2nd at 2:00 pm.
