Both games are National Junior College Athletic Association Region 3 contests.

Veteran Mike Long, a former head coach at the College of Saint Rose and Sage Junior College of Albany, takes over as Vikings head coach this season. Hudson Valley is expected to be led by returning All-Region guard Jose Reyes.
Following this weekend's games the Lazers will be off until November 16th and 17th, when they go on the road for the first time this season to face Schenectady County Community College and Fulton-Montgomery Community College.
