Oswego, NY - The Men's Cross Country team continued its strong start to the season with a 3rd place finish at the SUNY Oswego Invitational this past weekend, going head-to-head against a competitive NCAA field.
The Lazers were once again paced by team captain
Paul Clark, who delivered a dominant performance from start to finish. Clark claimed the individual title, crossing the line 1st with a time of 20:09 on the 6K course. Freshman
Jackson Allen continued to impress in his freshmen season, finishing 12th overall with a time of 22:19. He was followed by fellow freshmen
Raul Rosario, who secured 20th place in 23:17. Rounding out the top five for Onondaga were
Trenton Gallup (26:14) and
John Catapano (27:33), helping to secure the team's podium finish.
The Lazers are back in action this Saturday, September 8, as they travel to Finger Lakes Community College to compete in the Bruce Bridgman Invitational. This meet marks the team's first competition against an all-NJCAA field this season. The men's race is scheduled to begin at 11:30am.
