Syracuse, NY - The Onondaga Community College Men's Cross Country team kicked off its 2025 season at the Le Moyne Frank Dillon Memorial Invitational on Saturday. The Lazers placed 5th out of 7 teams in a competitive field dominated by NCAA programs.
Sophomore standout Paul Clark led the way for the Lazers, finishing 2nd overall with a time of 19:41.5 in the 6K race. Clark not only secured a podium finish in a dramatic photo finish, outkicking the third-place runner by just 0.6 seconds, but also broke his own school record in the process.
Freshman Jackson Allen impressed in his collegiate debut, clocking a time of 22:08.4 to move into 2nd place on the all-time OCC 6K leaderboard. Fellow freshman Raul Rosario also had a strong debut, running 23:09.6 to claim the 6th spot on the all-time list.
Rounding out the top five for the Lazers were freshmen Trenton Gallup (26:04) and Garrett Bleskoski (26:56), both gaining valuable experience in their first collegiate race.
The Lazers return to action this Saturday, September 6, at the SUNY Oswego Invitational. The race is set to begin at 11 a.m.
