Lazers Softball ended their season winning one of three games to finish seventh at the NJCAA Division III National Championship in Rochester, Minnesota.

Game One: Onondaga 3, Saint Cloud 11 (5 innings)
Â
The Lazers scored three runs in the top of the first inning, but Saint Cloud held the offense scoreless for the rest of the game. The Cyclones scored at least two runs in every inning, including a two-run bottom of the fifth to end the game early.

Jazz Powless went 2-for-3 with an RBI and
Emily Clapper scored two on a single in the first inning.

Alyssa Durrette gave up 5 runs on 6 hits through 2 innings.
Tori Duffy entered in the third and gave up 4 runs and 4 hits, and
Megan Brown allowed 4 hits and 2 runs in the fifth inning.

Game Two: Onondaga 1, Suffolk 4
Â
Onondaga let up three runs in the first inning to Suffolk before adding their lone run in the top of the fourth. The Sharks added one more in the bottom of the fourth and held OCC scoreless to send the Lazers to the matchup for seventh place on Saturday.

Amanda Prell was perfect from the plate with two hits and one walk, and four other Lazers contributed hits.

Tori Duffy took the ball for game two. Duffy worked through 3 innings, giving up 3 runs on 7 hits.
Megan Brown finished the last half of the game with 3 strikeouts and 2 hits.

Game Three: Onondaga 6, Itasca 3
Â
In the battle for seventh place Onondaga held a 3-0 lead after two innings, and both teams scored one each in the fifth. Itasca scored two in the sixth to cut the lead to 4-3, but the Lazers added two insurance runs in the top of the seventh to earn their thirtieth victory of the season.

Micaela Madigan was a perfect 2-for-2 with a walk and RBI.
Tori Duffy went 2-for-3 and
Casey Gray added two hits.

Megan Brown had a no-hitter until Itasca smacked a two-out double in the fourth inning. Brown accumulated 4 strikeouts in 5 innings and gave up just one run on 4 hits.
Alyssa Durrette finished the game by giving up 2 runs on one hit.
