#1 Men's Lacrosse concluded the regular season with a, 35-7, victory over Finger Lakes Community College on Friday afternoon at David W. Murphy Field.
 
Russ Oakes led the way with 6 goals and 3 assists, while Austin Staats added 5 goals and 3 assists of his own. James Sexton recorded 4 goals and 2 assists. Larson Sundown, Brian Cunningham, and Thakwi Cross each tallied 4 points, and 3 points each came from Erik Badger (10 ground balls) and Mike McNaney. Furthermore, Kiochi Nakamura, Ty Cadeau and Nick Myers all recorded their first goal wearing a Lazers uniform.
 
On the defensive side, Zack Blake caused three turnovers, and James Sexton and Zach Pinney both caused two.
 
From the face-off Colton Thew went 11-for-12, Ty Cadeau went 9-for-11, Evan Schumacher won 9  of 10, and Kiochi Nakamura won 8 of 11.
 
All three goaltenders logged minutes in the game. Riley Smith gave up three goals and made four saves in the first half. Kyle Leeming gave up four goals on eight shots, and Cade Talbert finished the game making one save.
 
The Lazers finish the regular season as the top-seeded team in the country, giving them a bye in the first round of the NJCAA Region III Tournament. Onondaga will host the NJCAA Region III Championships next Saturday, April 29th. The Lazers will compete at 12pm and face the winner of the #4 seed vs #5 seed game to be held on Wednesday, April 26th.
