Onondaga Softball outscored Columbia Greene Community College, 32-3, in a sweep on Saturday afternoon at the Softball Complex.

Game 1: Onondaga 11, Columbia Greene 3 (5 innings)

Columbia Greene jumped on the Lazers early, scoring three runs in the top of the first inning off 2 doubles and 2 walks.
Alyssa Durrette then settled and kept the Twins hitless until a single in the fourth inning.

Onondaga's bats lit up the third inning, with 7 runs on 3 hits and 3 walks.
Mati Ponsetti kicked it off with a single through the infield, and
Amanda Prell took four straight balls to put two on base for
Jazz Powless. Powless smashed a shot over the center field fence to tie the game at three, but OCC was not finished.
Micaela Madigan made it to first from a Twin error and moved to second when
Casey Gray took a walk. Another error by Columbia Greene scored Madigan and Gray, while
Courtney Piazza advanced to second base. Piazza scored off the bat of
Emily Clapper as she hit a line drive single to right-center, and Clapper added two stolen bases to be able to score on a sacrifice fly by
Mati Ponsetti.

Jazz Powless was unstoppable at the plate, adding a triple to kick off the fourth.
Alyssa Durrette was able to score Powless with a sacrifice fly to left field before the Twins closed out the inning.

Emily Clapper kicked off the bottom of the fifth with a triple and scored off
Katelyn Stubbs single up the middle.
Mati Ponsetti knocked her second single of the game and crossed home plate after
Leandra Holmes hit a double to center field.
Rae Printup's RBI double to left field ended the inning early due to the mercy run rule

Game 2: Onondaga 21, Columbia Greene 0 (5 innings)

The Lazers continued to dominate in game 2, putting together six, seven, and eight-run innings.

Six scored in the first inning from 3 walks, 2 hit batters, and a bases-clearing double from
Emillee Robords. Onondaga added eight more runs in the second with the help of Robords again, as she hit a 2 RBI line-drive single to left center.

Onondaga remained scoreless through the third, but added another seven in the fourth.
Jazz Powless led off with her second triple of the day, and scored when
Tori Duffy singled to right. The Lazers followed with six more runs on 4 walks and 2 singles by
Nicole Sheffer and
Casey Gray.

Tori Duffy pitched three shutout innings with 2 walks, 2 hits, and 4 strike outs, and
Rae Printup gave up one hit and struck out three through 2 innings.

The Lazers together earned 14 walks, 12 hits, 4 doubles, 1 triple, and 20 RBIs in the victory.

Onondaga travels to North East, PA on Sunday to face NJCAA Division 2 opponent Mercyhurst North East. The Lazers faced the Saints exactly one week ago at home, falling by scores of 2-1 and 8-2.
