Box Score In a rematch of the 2016 NJCAA National Title game, Onondaga Men's Lacrosse defeated Genesee Community College, 21-8, in Batavia on Saturday afternoon.

After a seesaw battle through the first fifteen minutes of play, the first quarter ended at four goals each. The Lazers took over the game in the second by outscoring the home team, 5-1, and continued their dominance through the last half of the game as they held the defending national champions to just three goals.

Freshman, Austin Staats exploded on offense, racking up 8 goals and 1 assist. James Sexton scored four and added one assist. Russ Oakes netted 2 and dished out 4 assists, and Brendan Duggan and Peter Kwas had four points apiece.

Colton Thew (12-16) and Evan Schumacher (12-17) continued their command of the face-off circle, while Riley Smith made 11 saves for the win.

The Lazers visit Jefferson Community College on Wednesday, March 29th at 8pm.
