The Lazers lost their first of the season on Tuesday morning, but recovered to take down the nationally-ranked Brookdale Jersey Blues.

Game One: Onondaga 6, Lewis & Clark 7
The game remained scoreless until the bottom of the third when Lewis and Clark put one across the plate. Onondaga's offense took off in the top of fifth, scoring five runs, and they added one more run in the sixth to take a comfortable, 6-2, lead. The Trailblazers scored five in the bottom of the seventh to take the win, giving the Lazers their first loss of the season.
Tori Duffy gave up 2 runs on 8 hits and struck out 8 through six innings of work.
Rae Printup took the loss, giving up 5 runs on 4 hits in the seventh.
Amanda Prell led the offense, going 2-for-3 from the plate with 2 RBIs.
Mati Ponsetti went 2-for-3, and
Katelyn Stubbs added 2 RBIs on 1 hit.

Game Two: Onondaga 9, Brookdale 3
Onondaga jumped on Brookdale early in game two, building an eight run advantage through the first three innings. The Jersey Blues are currently ranked third in the NJCAA Division III National Preseason Poll.
Brookdale added three runs in the final two innings but
Alyssa Durrette denied the comeback. The sophomore pitcher gave up 11 hits, 1 walk, and struck out 7 to earn her second win of the season.
Alyssa Durrette got it done at the plate as well, batting .500 with a double and 2 RBIs.
Katelyn Stubbs went 2-for-3 with a triple and one walk.
Tori Duffy and
Courtney Piazza both batted .500 and added 1 RBI apiece.
Emily Clapper made her two walks count, stealing two bases and scoring twice.
