Rochester, MN – Victoria Duffy of the Onondaga Community College softball team lined a two-out single in the top of the 10th inning to score Morgan Nichols to win 1-0 against St. Cloud Technical in the first elimination game on Friday afternoon in Rochester, Minnesota. In the second elimination game against Rowan College at Gloucester County, the Lazers won 4-3 to advance on to Saturday.
Game One: Onondaga 1, St. Cloud Technical 0; 10 Innings
Duffy drove in the game winning run in the 10th inning with two outs to keep Onondaga's nationl championship hopes alive. Casey Gray booked three hits, while Nichols, Duffy and Jess Rodriguez each notched two hits apiece to round out Onondaga's nine hit attack.
Nichols tossed all 10 inning giving up just five hits while striking out seven.

Game Two: Onondaga 4, Rowan College 3
The Lazers surrendered two runs in the first inning but scored two of their own in the third to tie the score 2-2. Then down 3-2 in the bottom half of the fifth inning, the Lazers would plate two runs in their half of the fifth to take a 4-3 lead and eventually go on to win by the same score.
Emily Clapper, Nichols, Casey Gray and Kyra Hunsinger each collected two hits, while Samantha Moon and Morgan Neadom added one hit each for the 10 hit Onondaga offense.
Nichols tossed all seven innings giving up three runs on eight hits while striking out six.
