Box Score 2 The Onondaga Community College softball team extended its winning streak to five games after taking both ends of a Mid-State Athletic Conference doubleheader on against the Jefferson Community College Cannoneers on Saturday in Watertown.

With the wins, Onondaga moves to 27-13 and 9-3 in MSAC play while Jefferson slides to 12-8 on the season including 4-2 in conference play.

Onondaga would hold a 3-1 lead heading into the final innings of the first game before the Cannoneers would cut the deficit to a single run before running out of steam as the Lazers held on for the 3-2 win.

In the nightcap, the Lazers bats came to life, producing eight runs as the visitors cruised to a five-run win, 8-3.

Onondaga will continue its road trip at 1 p.m. on Saturday when it takes on second-ranked Herkimer County Community College in Herkimer. The Lazers hosted the Generals back on April 1, but came away empty as Herkimer won both games of a Region III doubleheader.
