Syracuse, NY - Onondaga Women's Basketball rounded out the regular season in Allyn Hall on Saturday defeating Corning Community College 84-50. The Lazers recorded an overall record of 21-3 and 11-1 in conference, earning themselves an MSAC Co-Champion title with Jefferson Community College.
Sophomore
Jada Crocker (Fairport, NY / Fairport HS) led OCC to victory with her fifth season double-double tallying 19 points and 11 rebounds over the Red Barons. Freshman
Morgan Vasquez (New York, NY / Lab School Finance & Technoogy) recorded 13 points and 7 rebounds and
Amiya Johnson (Fairport, NY / Fairport HS) dropped 12.
The Lazers shot a collective 44.3% from the field, 28.6% from the arc, and 72.7% from the freethrow line. OCC led by as much as 34, converting 22 Corning turnovers to 20 points and scored 36 points inside the paint and 27 points off the bench.
The Red Barons led in the first few minutes of the game, then surrendered the lead to which they would never recover from. The Lazers outscored Corning in the first quarter 23-12 and continued to extend their lead throughout.

The 21-3 season has earned the women the No. 1 seed in the Region 3 Tournament hosted by Jefferson Community College. Receiving a bye in subregional round, the Lazers will take on the No. 8 Hudson Valley Vikings in the quarterfinal this Friday, February 27th at 5:30pm.
