Troy, NY - Onondaga Women's Basketball traveled East for the weekend with games at SUNY Adirondack and Hudson Valley Community College. The Lazers tacked on two season wins advancing to 11-3.
After a victory on Saturday over the Timberwolves, the Lazers took on the former 8-3 Vikings of Hudson Valley. After trailing 11-5 to the vIkings in the 1st quarter, Onondaga went off in the 2nd quarter putting up 20 points over the Vikings outscoring their 5, led by Sophomore
Jada Crocker (Fairport, NY / Fairport HS) with 9 points and 5 rebounds, sending the Lazers to the break with a 25-16 lead.
Crocker and
Mary Hamer (Belfast, NY / Belfast HS) had big 3rd quarters tallying 11 a piece to lead 55-27 headed to the 4th. This large lead kept the Lazers out of reach regardless of a quiet 4th quarter. Crocker finished with a total 24 points and 12 rebounds, recording her second season double-double. Hamer tallied a total 13 for the Lazers.
The women will return home this Wednesday, January 21st with SUNY Broome at 10AM.
