Men Drop Two Road Games

Onondaga Men's Basketball fell short in two games on the road versus SUNY Adirondack and Hudson Valley on the weekend, moving to 1-6.

The Lazers recorded their fifth 100+ point game on Saturday against the Adirondack Timberwolves, falling 118-103.

OCC shot a collective 42.9% from the arc against the Timberwolves' 52.6%. Sophomore Siyani Arthur (Brooklyn, NY / Brooklyn Law & Technology) recorded his career high 31 points over the Timberwolves. Sophomore Anthony Torres (Geneva, NY / Geneva HS) tallied 20 points for the Lazers. Shombe Jackson (Richmond, VA / Thomas Dale HS) and Brian Whitley (Geneva, NY / Geneva HS) each tallied 10. Whitley grabbed 13 rebounds for his fifth season double-double.

Back at it on Sunday with the Hudson Valley Vikings, the Lazers secured a 9-point lead at the end of the first half for their largest lead of the half led by Malachi Wilson (Brooklyn, NY / Thomas Jefferson HS) tallying 11 points. The Vikings came back to tie it 51-51 midway through the second half, followed by seven lead changes, cutting it down to the wire. The Vikings secured a 78-75 victory from the freethrow line in the final 39 seconds of the game. Wilson tallied 21 points, followed by Arthur with 15, and a double-double for Freshman Rosco Polos (Cicero, NY / Cicero-North Syracuse HS) with 11 points and 12 rebounds.

The men will look to bounce back starting with SUNY Broome this Wednesday at 12pm in Allyn Hall.
