Council Bluffs, IA - Enver Bulatov represented Onondaga at the NJCAA Championship this past weekend for Onondaga's first ever showing in the tournament.

Bulatov was seeded #14 in a 37 person national tournament bracket and finished the weekend 2-2. He started off his first match against an Iowa Lakes opponent. Enver was able to ride on top position successfully and remained tough on his feet, resulting in a 5-0 shutout win. Next, we had the 3 seed from Triton College, Bulatov's highest level opponent of the season and resulted in a loss by tech fall. Into the wrestle-backs (consolations, wrestling for third place), Bulatov took on a wrestler from the eventual National Champions, Rochester Technical and Community College. Enver's opponent scored the first takedown, but was able to battle back and get one of his own and able to able to secure a pin. Bulatov had to win two more to become an All-American and he was 1 of 16 left in his weight class. His next match was against a very formidable D1 opponent from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M college that was able to secure enough takedowns and a set of back points for a technical fall to end Onondaga's tournament.
