Syracuse, NY - No. 1 Onondaga Women's Soccer hosted the No. 8 Erie Kats in the Region 3a semifinal Wednesday evening on Wilbur Field. The Lazers took a dominant 7-0 victory over the Kats to advance to the Region 3a Championship for the third consecutive season.

Onondaga controlled possession from kickoff with the ball rarely crossing midfield. Freshman defender Lillian Walsh struck net for the Lazers' first of the day twelve minutes in on an assist from Jasmine Martin. Still maintaining possession, the Lazers strung together a 2-0 lead to enter the break with a goal from Sophomore defender Briana Dorrance off a corner kick taken from Poppy Diabo with fifteen to go in the first half.

Twelve minutes into the second half, the Lazers started pounding on the goals with another from Dorrance, another from Walsh, a pair from Freshman Adalynn Olmstead, and one for Martin for a 7-0 shutout in the 90 minutes.

Onondaga's 10th season shutout advances them to take on the No. 4 Mohawk Valley Hawks at Genesee Community College this Sunday, November 2nd. The two formerly met this season on September 14th at Mohawk Valley, where Onondaga took a 1-0 victory.
