Syracuse, NY - Women's Basketball hosted the Region III opponent, Herkimer College. The Generals sit in the No. 12 spot in the nation just behind the Lazers. OCC advanced to 13-4 on the season take a 30-point win over the Generals.
The Lazers had a 17-4 start over the Generals in the Monday night game. After a last second bucket from Freshman
Abby Ensign, the Lazers led 23-14 to end the first quarter.
Brianna Weaver kept the scoring hot beginning the second quarter with a quick three, immediately followed by a steal and a bucket for OCC. Leverage stayed with the Lazers headed into halftime with a 23-point lead.
The Generals started the second half with an 8-0 run. OCC responded quickly with back-to-back threes from
Amiya Johnson forcing a Herkimer timeout. The Lazers maintained their lead through the remainder of the second half, resulting in 78-48 victory.
Brianna Weaver finished with 15 points, 3-6 from the arc.
Onondaga will host Corning Community College this Wednesday, January 29th at 5:30pm.
