Syracuse, NY - Women's Basketball hosted the conference opponent, Cayuga Community College, in Allyn Hall this weekend. The Lazers advance to 12-4 and 6-1 in conference with a 77-30 victory over the Spartans.
OCC had a slow start unable to score until three minutes into the 1st quarter on an
Amiya Johnson three. The Spartans were able to make it a 1-point game with just under 8 minutes remaining in the first half before OCC found their groove and took advantage of Cayuga turnovers. The Lazers outscored the Spartans 27-15 in the 2nd quarter, and a last second bucket from
Sarah Hirschler sent the Lazers into the half with an 18-point lead.
The Lazers kept and extended their lead throughout the second half, ending up on top 77-30. OCC was led by Hirschler finishing with 11 points followed by
Kathryn Grainger with 10.
OCC will host Herkimer Community College on Monday, January 27th at 5pm in Allyn Hall.
