Syracuse, NY - Men's Basketball grabbed their fifth win over Cayuga Community College on Saturday in Allyn Hall after honoring their Sophomore Class.

Sophomore Sam Gallager put OCC first on the board over the Spartans lighting an early fire. OCC's 5-1 start, forced a quick Cayuga timeout with clear momentum with the Lazers. Numerous Cayuga turnovers and a hot shooting streak for the Lazers allowed them a 30-7 lead after a 4-point play from Lucio Cole with just under 7 minutes remaining in the first half. OCC ended the first half with a 41-18 edge over the Spartans.

The Spartans were first to score in the second half with an open three, but Sophomore Joe Guerrero had a quick response with a three of his own. The Lazers maintained their large lead until the 8 minute mark when Cayuga when on a scoring run, but OCC's large lead from the first half kept them out of danger with a 84-65 victory. Lucio Cole led all scorers with 15 points followed by Joseph Guerrero and Gage Kielmann each with 13. Guerrero had a double-double with his 13 points and 17 rebounds.

The men are back this Wednesday, January 29th at 7:30pm in Allyn Hall against Corning Community College.
