Syracuse, NY - Men's Basketball hosted the Red Barons of Corning in Allyn Hall. The Lazers came up short in a 93-78 final and moving to 2-5 in MSAC play.
Onondaga was first on the board with a bucket from
Aiden Wine off the tip. The lead was short lived after Corning took a 15-6 lead and forced an OCC timeout, a lead which they would not surrender. The Lazers cut Corning's lead to as small as 6 with just under three minutes remaining in the first half.
Gavyn Hogue had a big three at the buzzer making it a 9-point game at the half, capping off his 13 1st half points.
The Lazers struggled to put points on the board to start the 2nd half. The Red Barons started to pull away with a consistent 20-point lead about halfway through the half which the Lazers could not recover from.
Fermin Fabian had a double-double with 23 points and 13 rebounds.
Gavyn Hogue added 16 for the Lazers.
The men travel to Utica, NY this Saturday, February 1st for a matchup with Mohawk Valley Community College with a 4pm start.
