Canandaigua, NY - The Women's Soccer broke a program record last night at Finger Lakes Community College taking their largest margin of victory and most goals scored in program history with a 16-0 win over the Lakers. The previous record was held by the 2016 Lazers with a 12-0 win over Cayuga Community College on September 7th, 2016. This win continues Onondaga's upward trajectory moving them to 4-0.
Onondaga's first goal was scored just a short 1:24 into the contest by
Ellysia Germain off an assist from
Harmony Russell. This would be Germain's first goal of the day finishing with a total of 6, which also breaks a new record in the women's soccer program for most goals in a game, which was previously 5, held by 2017 Women's Soccer alum, Brianna Wieszczynski. Germain was one of several Lazer sophomores scoring 2 or more goals in the team's victory including:
Lilly Duschen (3),
Harmony Russell (2), and
Brenna Mast (2). Freshman
Brooke Widrick put one up for the Lazers with 2 assists.
