Women's Soccer has a 3-0 start to the season after a 2-game weekend hosting the Tompkins-Cortland Community COllege Panthers and traveling to Troy, NY to take on Hudson Valley Community College.
The women racked up their number on Saturday with a 13-1 victory over the Panthers.
Harmony Russell had her first sophomore season hat trick as he Lazers' leading scorer with 6 goals in just three games. Freshman
Poppy Diabo had her first collegiate hat trick as well on assists from Duschen, Borte, and Denton.
Brooke Widrick wasn't far behind with 2 goals and 4 assists of her own. The depth of the Lazer offense allowed for goals from
Ellysia Germain,
Brenna Mast,
Briana Dorrance,
Justine Borte, and
Adrianna Denton with a grand total of 8 goal scorers on the day.
The Lazers carried the fire into Sunday on the road with their second shutout of the season recording a 3-0 win over the Vikings of udson Valley. Sophomore powerhouses Germain, Mast, and Russell found the back of the net for the Lazers.
Geona Wood recorded 4 saves in goal and taking credit for the shutout.
The women hope to carry the momentum on another road game on September 4th against Finger Lakes Community College at 4:00pm.
