Utica, NY - The Lazers brought home two wins over Mohawk Valley and Herkimer CC this weekend from Mohawk Valley's Regional Tri-Match. The Lazers dominated the day ending both matches in 3 sets.
The Lazers first match began at 12pm vs the Generals. With close first set winning by 2, Onondaga bounced back taking down the Generals 25-8 in the second and 25-16 in the third and taking the win. Leading the Lazers was
Kara Stephens with 7 kills,
Alexsis Knox with 18 assists, and
Nevaeh Baker with 14 digs.
Game 2 for the Lazers followed, this time taking on the Hawks of Mohawk Valley. Staying hot, Onondaga took the Hawks down 25-10, 25-5, and 25-6 with a quick win in game 2.
Shelby Jock had a strong showing with 8 kills. Knox added on 14 assists on the day and Stephens had 9 aces in game 2.
The Lazers move to 5-2 after the Tri-Match and headed into this weekend's Corning Community College Tri-Match where they'll take on the Red Barons and the Hornets of Broome Community College.
