Syracuse, NY - Volleyball hosted the Lakers of Finger Lakes Community College this past Tuesday in their season opener under the leadership of newest Onondaga Head Coach, Joe Brainerd. 

The Lazers fought against the nationally ranked Lakers hard until the end nearly taking a victory in set 3. Onondaga was led by Freshman Addison Kelly and Sophomore Ava Bero with 5 kills each. Sophomore Setter, Alexsis Knox had a strong showing with 14 assists. Sophomore Libero, Nevaeh Baker had 10 digs in the match.

The Lazers will travel to Binghamton, NY next Tuesday, September 3rd to take on the SUNY Broome Hornets at 6pm for their second conference matchup.
