Syracuse, NY - The Lazers hosted Jefferson Community College for their first conference doubleheader of the season. The Lazers took care of business defeating the Cannoneers in games 1 and 2 moving to 3-1 on the season.
A high scoring game 1 resulted in a 13-12 win for Onondaga due to a walk-off single in the 7th from
Matt Carner to score
Colin White. Carner and White were the Lazers offensive performers of the game with 4 hits each and a career high 6 RBIs for Carner.
Jake DePalma hit a solo shot in the 3rd inning recording his first career homerun. Carner took the win on the mound relieving in the 6th inning with 3 strikeouts.
Matt Krul pitched a complete game in game 2 recording 10 strikeouts and allowing just 4 hits for the Cannoneers. The Lazer offensive discipline stayed consistent scoring 4 runs in the first inning on three walks, two hit by pitches, a sac fly, and a run scored off a wild pitch. With another 4-run inning in the 6th, the Lazers secured some insurance runs before a 7th inning shutout and taking the win.

Jonathan Gonzalez-Perez each had 3 RBIs.
The Lazers will return to the field tomorrow, March 15th for a single 9-inning game against Mohawk Valley Community College at 2pm followed by a doubleheader on Saturday against Kingsborough Community College at 12pm.
